Customs Entry Writer wanted for fast paced Brokerage in Monterey Park CA
Classification-Job Overview-Direct Hire On site role in Monterey Park, CA
This position is responsible for validating the classification of goods imported into the USA. The person reviews documents to make sure all is in order. They will reach out to customers with any questions or advice. If no classification is provided, they will reach out to the customer or coordinate with those experienced in classification. This level of classification is often working with “copy/paste” classification, verifying and EDI feed, or pull classification from a database.
Duties
- Document review to ensure information is in order and accurate
- Coordination and communication with customers and ask questions
- Coordination with classification experts
- Problem solve with IT and coordination with others in the assembly process
Requirements
- High School Diploma (or GED)
- Minimum 1-3 years of related work experience required in Customs Brokerage industry
- Attention to detail, speed, teamwork, coping
- Ability to problem solve quickly and efficiently
- Microsoft Office programs proficient
- Experience in Customs Brokerage industry preferred
